Our sponsored guide dog puppy, Sunny, is settling into her new home and making a wonderful start to her training.
Sunny has settled beautifully with her puppy raiser, Pat, and is already bringing plenty of love, laughter and a little mischief into the household! She adores cuddles, carries her much-loved bunny soft toy everywhere and has grown in confidence as she gets used to the world around her.
Sunny is also proving to be a quick learner. She’s already practising basic commands such as “sit”, “down” and “touch”, helping her develop the foundations she’ll need as a future guide dog. She’ll soon be starting puppy classes, where travelling by bus and train will give her valuable experience of different environments.
Of course, there are still a few puppy habits to work on, particularly when it comes to waiting patiently for her food! But with Pat’s guidance and support from Guide Dogs, Sunny is making a lovely start.
