Pupdate on Rosie the trainee guide dog

Rosie, the trainee guide dog for the blind that we are sponsoring is growing fast as you can see from the latest picture!

Her Puppy Raiser, Edith has told us that Rosie is progressing nicely on her journey towards becoming a guide dog, despite the challenges in her training during the lockdowns. They've done a lot of lead walking together and although they can't visit new places, Rosie is getting its of experience around her local town.

Rosie has been practicing her obedience training in the garden but apparently gets bored quite quickly, so Edith is doing most of the retrieving right now!

Rosie is also learning how to settle down quickly for when she'll have to sit and stay under the table while her owner enjoys a coffee and some cake (hopefully to resume one day soon!).

She seems to have a lovely temperament and is very adaptable, so she should do well as she prepares to leave Edith and move on to Training School. Join us again in June when we'll bring you Rosie's next update.
